It Takes a Village: Ponseti Method Management of Clubfoot

A clubfoot diagnosis can be upsetting to parents even though it is fully reversible with proper treatment. That treatment often requires an entire “village” of care providers, each with a specific role to play in resolving the defect – the physician to perform the manipulation and casting, the orthotist to fit and monitor the boots-and-bar of bracing, perhaps a physical therapist to manage resistant clubfeet, and of course, the parents, who manage up to 95% of clubfoot treatment at home. This event brings well-known medical professionals and experienced clubfoot parents together to explain the role each plays in correcting congenital clubfoot.
